Failure to Appear or Pay
Failure to appear and failure to pay can create license consequences. The Judicial Branch says once 20 days pass from a missed court date, the court may report failure to appear to NCDMV if the person still has not appeared or disposed of the case. Once 40 days pass from a failure to pay after disposition, the court may report failure to pay to NCDMV.
